FIRE RESISTANT CABLES
Fire Resistant cables outlined in this section are primarily for use in fire safety, fire detection, fire alarm systems and other applications where specifications require cables with specific performance in the event of a fire.
These cables are meant to maintain circuit integrity in case of fire and to protect life from smoke and noxious fumes, and where sensitive equipment may be damaged by acid-forming gases.
FIRENIX cables are manufactured in accordance with major British and International standards namely BS 6387 CWZ, BS7629, IEC 60331-21, EN 50200, BS8434-2 etc.
The Typical installation for this type of cable are the transmission of analogue and digital signal and control systems. Allowed for use in zone 1 and 2, group II, classified areas (IEC 60079-14).
FIRENIX fire resistant cables are available in three versions as specifications call for cables with specific performance in the event of a fire.
